COMPANY SUMMARY:

NUTRITION

CWAS continues to build our team of independent dairy nutritionists. Under flexible company culture, there are no geographical location restrictions. Qualifications include 5-10 years of industry experience, attention to detail, strong communication and customer relationship skills, and a natural “cow sense.” Responsibilities include ration development, herd observations, production data analysis, internal team development, and customer collaboration.


AGRONOMY

A minimum of 5,000 acres of crop land management located in Jackson and Clark Counties of Wisconsin. Oversight includes planting schedules, Nutrient Management Planning, CAFO plans, mapping, and filing coordination and development. Heavy equipment operation experience is desirable, while a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) license is required. This career provides the opportunity for access to dairy nutritionists and consultants in the heart of Wisconsin’s dairy country to collaborate on providing the highest quality feed available for dairy cattle.


SUMMER INTERNSHIP

Paid summer internships are available for agriculture students with a focus in dairy education along with young and beginning farmers. Internships encompass all departments within CWAS and provide the opportunity to work within multiple areas of the dairy industry. The eight week program will provide training specific to the individual’s interests and career goals, along with a strong network in the Western Wisconsin dairy industry.


EXTERNSHIP

Two week externships are available for veterinary students to work with our vet department. Experiences and training include, surgery, ultrasound, herd health checks, customer consultation, and hands-on cattle work. Please contact Dr. John Borzillo for interested candidates.
